Festival'Era

FestivalEra blended folk, rock, and electronic music in a Catalan farmhouse. A boutique festival — comfortable, adventurous, and truly authentic — that, indeed, marked an Era in the space-time continuum of festivals in Catalonia.

Who called?

Actually, Festival’Era was co-founded by Marc Vilà, now CEO of Floood.audio.

What did they want?

In our early twenties, we were tired of going to the same old festivals — so we decided to create our own.
We wanted to connect the most popular urban music styles with the magic of the countryside, hosting it at the beautiful Can Gascons farmhouse, blending genres like folk, pop, rock, and electronic music.

What did we think?

That people aren’t loyal to one genre — they seek singular experiences. Often, it’s not about the lineup, but the setting, the atmosphere, the food, and the crowd. A unique location and a sense of comfort can be more powerful than the headliners.

What did we do?

We created a festival that ran for 8 years, building a loyal following by hosting diverse events at a rural space in Llagostera. It offered a unique, intimate atmosphere — far from the crowds (2.000 people). It became one of the few festivals to truly define the rise of the boutique festival movement in Catalonia.
