Barcelona School of Creativity

From event design to artist selection: we train the next generation of music creatives through practical & hands-on sessions applied to real-life events.

Who called?

Barcelona School of Creativity — a High Performance Creative Center offering intensive programs in Copywriting, Art Direction, Events & Experiences, and Creative Content.

What did they want?

A professor to teach the subject “Musical Curation & Sound Design for Events.”

What did we think?

The curriculum had to cover all essential aspects of crafting the sound identity of an event. Whether it’s a festival, product launch, cocktail, corporate event, or party — live events require musical curation that enhances the experience, aligns with the target audience, and adapts to the environment.

What did we do?
We designed a course that explored everything from the physical and metaphysical nature of music to its history, technical aspects, and spatial acoustics. It also covered artist booking and management, as well as the creative dimensions of curating sound environments — including genre exploration, trend forecasting, music libraries, and the art of musical selection.

Music Curation is a high-performance creative subject taught by Christian Len at the Barcelona School of Creativity for the “Events & Experiences” master. It explores the power of music as an emotional, narrative, and branding tool—from its transcendental origins to its application in events, brands and physical & digital spaces. The course blends theory, active listening, and hands-on exercises, covering topics like synesthesia, music therapy, AI-generated music, and acoustics. It also connects music to sensory experiences, architecture, and strategic goals. Some sessions feature guest speakers and experiential outings to enrich the learning process.

Sound is no longer just felt — it’s taught, dissected, and used as creative strategy. Planting seeds for music’s future applications.
